Emerson Royal Opens Door to Flamengo Amid Transfer Talks

Emerson Royal is talking with Flamengo and may be moving there soon. He is currently playing for AC Milan. He has only been there for a year after transferring from Tottenham. Emerson Royal played 26 games for AC Milan last season.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Flamengo showed interest in Emerson and have opened contract talks with him. This comes after he was close to moving to Besiktas, but a deal fell apart in the final stages. Milan are reportedly ready to let Emerson leave on loan to Flamengo with an option to make the deal permanent, as the otherwise regular Brazilian awaits more game time. Following a calf injury in January, Emerson Royal lost his starting spot at AC Milan.
