Alexander Isak Misses Newcastle’s Pre-Season Tour Amid Rumours And Injury Concerns

Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak did not travel with the team for their pre-season tour in Singapore. The club says he has a minor thigh injury, but there are also transfer rumours.

NEWCASTLE SQUAD DEPARTS WITHOUT ISAK

Newcastle picked a 30-man squad for their two-week tour in Singapore and South Korea. They will play friendly matches against Arsenal, Tottenham, and the K-League All-Stars. Alexander Isak, a key player for Newcastle, was not included. The club says his absence is due to medical reasons, confirming he is recovering from a minor thigh problem and denying any connection to transfer rumours. Isak also missed Newcastle’s earlier friendly against Celtic, which they lost 4-0. He was seen training separately from the main group, which has led to more questions about his future at the club.

LIVERPOOL STILL MONITORING SITUATION

Meanwhile, Liverpool are interested in signing the Swedish striker. Newcastle rejected an initial offer of around £120 million for Isak, insisting that he is not available as confirmed by reports. Isak scored 27 goals and provided 6 assists in all competitions last season, contributing to Newcastle finishing fifth in the league and qualifying for the Europa League. Liverpool have already signed Hugo Ekitike for £79 million, but they could return with a much bigger offer, possibly around £150 million, if Isak decides to push for a transfer.

WHAT’S NEXT FOR NEWCASTLE?

Newcastle are getting ready for important friendly matches in Singapore to prepare for the new Premier League season. They start their tour with a match against Arsenal, last season’s second-place finishers, followed by games against Tottenham and the K-League All-Stars. Newcastle ended last season in fifth place, having qualified for European football, so they want to improve this year. The fitness and future of Alexander Isak continue to be topics of interest. Newcastle’s next official match is against Aston Villa, who finished last season in 6th on the opening day of the Premier League season. Meanwhile, Liverpool will travel to the USA for their pre-season tour as they look to improve their attack.
