Elche Agree Deal to Sign Victor Chust From Cádiz

Elche are set to sign Victor Chust from Cádiz. Both La Liga clubs have reached an agreement that will see the defender link up with the Catalan side imminently.

We understand that Chust‘s deal is a loan move that includes an option for Elche to purchase the player next summer. The agreement between both parties has been completed and Chust will move to Elche immediately and will be part of their squad for their next matches.

The 25-year-old has been a regular for Cádiz, featuring in all four of their matches across all competitions this term. He has even been deployed as a left-back at times, with most of the appearances coming at the heart of defence.

BOTH CLUBS’ SEASONS SO FAR

Cádiz finished 13th in the Spanish Segunda Division after being relegated the season before from La Liga, and are offloading some of its better players, like Chust.

Elche, meanwhile, got promoted to La Liga last season after finishing 2nd in the Segunda Division only behind Levante. Elche will compete in La Liga after finishing 2nd in the second tier last season, aiming to strengthen their position in the league.

This is set to be the sixth meeting between the clubs in the league. The spoils have been shared equally so far with both teams winning two matches apiece, while one game ended goalless.

The player has shown a lot of potential over the past few years and will try to impress at his new club, while Cádiz want to have as little players leaving the squad as possible, so they make the push for promotion back to La Liga, whereas Elche will be fighting to stay in the Spanish top flight for next season.
