Enzo Millot Completes Transfer to Al Ahli from VfB Stuttgart
French midfielder Enzo Millot has joined Al Ahli from VfB Stuttgart. The official announcement will come soon, but the agreement is done, as confirmed by reports.
WHAT HAPPENED?
Enzo Millot, 23, has agreed to join Al Ahli. Al Ahli and VfB Stuttgart have settled on a transfer fee of around €28 million, which is above the player’s €18 million release clause for non-European clubs. Millot traveled to Jeddah earlier this week for his medical checks and contract signing. He was also linked to Atlético Madrid, Galatasaray, and Tottenham but finally chose the Saudi Arabian champions, as is evident from recent updates.
MILLOT AND STUTTGART: A SEASON TO REMEMBER
Millot had a strong season in the Bundesliga with Stuttgart, featuring in 43 matches, scoring 12 goals and providing 8 assists during the 2024-25 campaign. He played a key role in their DFB Pokal triumph and helped Stuttgart secure seventh place in the table. Given his consistent performances, reports suggest that his market value rose to €35 million, making him one of Stuttgart’s most valuable players.
WHAT THIS MEANS FOR AL AHLI AND THE ROAD AHEAD
Al Ahli, the reigning Asian Champions League winners, aim to replicate their success this season. They finished near the top of the Saudi Pro League last year and are a title contender, along with Al Hila, Al Nassr and previous season’s champions AL Ittihad. Millot can debut in Al Ahli’s next fixture against Al-Shabab, potentially boosting their title challenge. He will compete with the likes of Marco Verratti, Miralem Pjanic, and Thomas Lemar for a starting spot in Matthias Jaissle’s lineup as the Saudi champions target a consecutive hat-trick of Asian titles.
