Lucas Vázquez, 34, is available after his Real Madrid contract ended this summer. He will sign with Bayer Leverkusen until June 2027 after passing his medical in Germany. His time at Real Madrid was notable, featuring in 310 matches over 17 seasons, during which he won La Liga and the Champions League several times.

Vázquez will fill a gap at Leverkusen left by Jeremie Frimpong, who departed for Liverpool. After negotiations with OGC Nice’s Jonathan Clauss failed, the path opened for Vázquez to join the team.
