Jan Ziolkowski Arrives in Rome to Complete Transfer from Legia Warsaw

Jan Ziolkowski has arrived in Rome to join AS Roma. The club has agreed to pay Legia Warsaw €6.6 million for the player, according to recent reports.

DEAL AGREED AND PLAYER SET TO SIGN

AS Roma have agreed all the terms for Ziolkowski’s transfer. They will pay €6.6 million to Legia Warsaw and include a 10 percent sell-on clause for future transfer proceeds. He will be signed for Roma’s team rebuild for the busy fixture schedule after drawing heavy interest from multiple suitors since the start of the January transfer window. Legia Warsaw will receive 10% of any future sale profit from Ziolkowski’s transfer, as confirmed by official sources.

YOUNG TALENT JOINS ROMA’S PUSH UP THE TABLE

Roma are currently top in the Serie A, having won their opener against Bologna by 1-0 with a goal by new reinforcement Wesley Franca. Ziolkowski, who is good in the air and anticipates plays well, has had an impressive season at Legia Warsaw, making over 30 appearances, scoring once, and assisting twice, reflecting his growing stature this season, as noted in various reports.

FOCUS TURNS TO FORTHCOMING MATCHES AND SQUAD IMPACT

Roma are closing in on the signing of Jan Ziolkowski, and the Polish defender could make an instant impact. Legia Warsaw centre-back Ziolkowski is expected to travel to Rome this week to undergo a medical with the Serie A side after they agreed on a £6.6m fee. According to recent updates, Ziolkowski wants to join Serie A side Roma, even if it means securing the deal using a £5m release clause in his contract. Roma manager Gian Piero Gasperini may be making more signings, as the team is interested in a left-back and see Liverpool’s Tsimikas as its favourite candidate.
