Lázaro Vinicius Completes Transfer From Almeria to Al Najma SC

Lázaro Vinicius has left Almeria for Saudi club Al Najma SC. The transfer fee is €5 million, including a 15% sell-on clause.

TRANSFER DETAILS REVEALED

Lázaro is 23 years old and moving to the Saudi First Division. After two seasons with Almeria, he gets a fresh challenge. Al Najma paid €5 million for him, and Almeria will get a cut from any future sale.

This ends Lázaro’s Spanish journey. He was on a six-year deal after rising through Flamengo. He returned from a Palmeiras loan this year, where he had 36 appearances, 2 goals, and 2 assists. In Spain, he scored 6 goals in 20 Almeria games during his first season and became a squad player after his loan.

WHAT THIS MEANS FOR ALMERIA

Almeria are struggling in Spain’s Segunda División after La Liga relegation during the 2023/24 season. As per recent updates, Almería is currently in the bottom half of the table, trailing by six points in the playoff race. The club looks to revamp its squad to improve.

Losing Lázaro saves wages and generates funds to invest in squad weaknesses during the 2026/27 campaign. Almeria is set to clash against Real Oviedo, and they’re five points off the playoffs and three clear of relegation.

AL NAJMA SC LOOK FORWARD

Al Najma SC hope Lázaro improves their attack. The club wants to go up, currently fourth in the Saudi First Division, two points shy of Al-Qadsiah, in second.

Next, they face Al Qadsiah. The winner will get a boost in the promotion race. Lázaro needs to hit the ground running and give his new side the edge to climb into the automatic promotion spots.
