Juventus Deny Fallout With PSG Over Kolo Muani Transfer
Juventus general director Damien Comolli says there were no problems with Paris Saint-Germain chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi over Randal Kolo Muani’s failed transfer. He says those stories are false.
WHAT HAPPENED?
FourFourTwo reported negotiations for Kolo Muani to join Juve permanently from PSG ended badly in August. The striker was on loan at Juve for the 2024/25 season and scored 10 goals and made three assists in 22 games during his loan spell. It was reported Al-Khelaifi was unhappy with how Juventus handled the negotiations, believing the Bianconeri kept changing their terms. However, Comolli has dismissed those suggestions.
WHY IT MATTERS
Despite the controversy surrounding the supposed bust-up, Comolli says the two teams have remained on good terms since the collapsed deal. Kolo Muani ultimately left PSG to join another Premier League team in Tottenham, having struggled for minutes at the Parc des Princes. He completed a move to Tottenham Hotspur from Paris Saint-Germain on transfer deadline day.
WHAT NEXT FOR JUVENTUS?
Juve are preparing for their weekend clash against Inter Milan. The Turin side are in the leading group in Serie A after two matches, alongside AS Roma, Napoli and Cremonese, and 3 points ahead of last season’s runner ups Inter.
