Nicolas Jackson Looks Forward to Facing Chelsea After Bayern Move

Nicolas Jackson is excited to face his former club Chelsea with Bayern Munich next week. The striker is eager to see his old friends and teammates and hopes to help Bayern win the big match.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Jackson, now on a season-long loan at Bayern Munich from Chelsea, shared his thoughts before traveling to London. He said, “I’m very happy to see my friends and teammates from Chelsea. Hopefully, we have a good game and we win.” This will be Jackson’s first match against Chelsea since leaving in the summer. He left after helping Chelsea win the UEFA Conference League and FIFA Club World Cup in 2025. In his first season at Chelsea, Jackson scored 12 goals and provided six assists, making him one of the standout players for the club last season.

JACKSON’S SEASON SO FAR

Since joining Bayern, Jackson has played in several matches, aiming to secure a starting spot in a team chasing the Bundesliga title. Bayern currently ranks first in the league, winning their initial matches and starting the season strong. Jackson has scored three goals and provided two assists in all competitions so far this season. Meanwhile, Chelsea sits in the top half in the Premier League, two points behind leaders like Arsenal and Tottenham and Liverpool, with the latter with one less game played.

WHAT’S NEXT FOR BOTH SIDES?

Bayern will face Chelsea next week in the UEFA Champions League group stage, a crucial match for both teams. Bayern’s last game was a 5–0 win over Hamburger SV, keeping them in the title race. Chelsea’s recent match ended in a 2–2 draw with Brentford, after conceding a last-minute goal that allowed the draw. The upcoming match will affect both teams’ chances of progressing in Europe, with Bayern hoping Jackson’s insight into Chelsea can make a difference.
