Nicolas Jackson Shines with First Goal and Assist for Bayern Munich

Nicolas Jackson had a big game for Bayern Munich, scoring his first goal and providing his first assist. His performance is an important step as he starts his career in Germany.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Jackson joined Bayern Munich on loan from Chelsea at the start of the 2025/26 season. He was brought in to add more speed and creativity to the attack. In his latest game, Jackson made a breakthrough by scoring a goal and giving an assist, helping Bayern win easily. This is the first time he has scored and assisted since moving to Germany, showing he is settling in well. The 24-year-old Senegalese forward used to play for Chelsea, Villarreal, and Mirandés. Now, he is looking to earn a regular starting spot at Bayern. After helping Chelsea win the UEFA Conference League and FIFA Club World Cup in 2025, Jackson is excited about his new role at Bayern Munich, as he expressed his happiness following the move.

BAYERN’S STRONG START TO THE SEASON

Bayern Munich have started the Bundesliga season very well, winning their first four matches and sitting at the top of the table. The team beat Werder Bremen 4-0 in the match where Jackson shined, moving them two points clear of second-placed Borussia Dortmund. Bayern Munich is currently sitting at the top of the Bundesliga, two points ahead of Dortmund and three ahead of RB Leipzig, having secured victory in all their opening matches, remaining undefeated. Jackson has played in three Bundesliga matches so far, with this game being his best performance. Before this match, he had played for 119 minutes but had not scored or assisted.

WHAT’S NEXT FOR JACKSON AND BAYERN?

Bayern’s next match is against Eintracht Frankfurt, a team that finished third in the table last season, and a Champions League contender. If Jackson continues his good form, he could earn more playing time and help Bayern stay on top. The club will only decide to make Jackson’s move permanent if he starts at least 40 games this season. Chelsea, Jackson’s parent club, are currently eighth in the Premier League after a mixed start. Jackson’s performances will not only shape Bayern’s title hopes, but also his own future as he has more chances to prove himself in upcoming Bundesliga and Champions League matches. So far, he has scored three goals and provided two assists in all competitions for Bayern Munich this season.
