Arteta Praises Gyökeres After Exceptional Display for Arsenal

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has praised striker Viktor Gyökeres. He called his recent performance “exceptional” and said Gyökeres is helping the team more and more each game.

WHAT ARTETA SAID ABOUT GYÖKERES

After Arsenal’s latest game, Arteta said Gyökeres is “doing better and better” things each game. The coach explained that scoring isn’t the only way a striker can help. He emphasized, “if he doesn’t do that, at least to do everything as he’s doing for the team. He’s helping a lot.” Arteta said he is happy with the Swedish forward’s impact, both in attack and other areas.

ARSENAL’S SEASON SO FAR

Arsenal have been very good in the Premier League this season. They are currently second in the league, closely trailing Liverpool, who have 15 points from six matches, just two points behind them. They have scored 17 goals and conceded only 8, showcasing their strength in both attack and defense. Gyökeres joined from Sporting CP this summer for €63 million and has played in every league game so far, scoring three goals and getting two assists. His energy and ability to press defenders have helped give Arsenal an extra edge. Notably, he scored his third goal for Arsenal in a recent match, assisted by Eberechi Eze according to reports.

WHAT’S NEXT FOR ARSENAL AND GYÖKERES

Arsenal’s next match is against West Ham in the Premier League. West Ham are 19th in the table and have struggled recently, but they are tough opponents. Arsenal are two points behind Liverpool and one ahead of Crystal Palace. A win would keep them close to the top and put pressure on their title rivals. Arteta will be hoping that Gyökeres continues his strong form, whether he scores or helps the team in other ways.
