Pedri has admitted he is currently playing the best football of his career as he continues to shine for Barcelona.The 22-year-old has seen his last two campaigns interrupted by injury but is now back to full fitness and delivering his best regularly for the Catalans.

Pedri has revealed his happiness after leading Barcelona to a 1-0 Copa del Rey win away at Atletico Madrid that secured a place in the final. He now has five goals and seven assists to his name in the 2024-25 season, and, as he stated: “I’ve never enjoyed playing football this much before, to be fair. I’m in the best form of my career.” He added on the team’s two-year winning streak of nine titles in 10 finals: “We know only too well how difficult it is to win, especially 2 years consecutively. For me it is amazing.”

Pedri’s superb form has reportedly led to Barcelona offering a new long-term deal at the club, even though he is already contracted until 2030. It’s also prompted teammate Gavi to snub votes for Raphinha and Lamine Yamal and back the playmaker to win the 2025 Ballon d’Or.
Pedri’s importance to the team was emphasized by coach Hansi Flick after the 1-0 win over Atletico Madrid: “As I said last time, Bayern Munich had excellent players too, but Pedri is one of the best midfielders I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with, and I am delighted with him,” he said.
