Mikel Arteta has extended coach Nicolas Jover’s contract again, along with other key members of his coaching staff.

Jover is one of five key staff who have agreed fresh terms with the club, along with assistant managers Albert Stuivenberg and Carlos Cuesta, goalkeeping coach Iñaki Caña, and first-team coach Miguel Molina.

WHAT HAPPENED?

The coaching staff’s new contracts have now been finalized, aligning with Arteta’s own contract extension that ends in the 2026-27 season. Reports suggest that this extension ensures continuity within the team, which has been essential in Arsenal’s recent improvements after a few seasons trying to find their footing after the departure of Arsene Wenger. These negotiations follow earlier updates that mentioned Miguel Molina nearing an agreement to sign a new deal. Molina had downplayed rumors linking him to a move back to Spain, saying, “I have been living with this situation for six months…you know what your intentions are. I am here to help the team.”

Jover joined the club from Manchester City in July 2021 and has since earned recognition for significantly improving Arsenal’s prowess in set-piece situations. Carlos Cuesta, meanwhile, has been an integral part of the coaching team since 2020, contributing to the club’s rise under Arteta’s tenure, including their status as Premier League title challengers and their recent Champions League performances.
