Mikel Arteta has a strong message for Arsenal fans before their UEFA Champions League semi-final against Paris Saint-Germain. He wants fans to create a historic atmosphere at the Emirates Stadium.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Before the game, Arteta told fans to act like the team’s “12th man.” He said, “Bring your boots, your shorts, t-shirt, let’s play every ball together.” He said Arsenal are “making history and we want more.” Arteta wants fans to be even more intense than during their big win against Real Madrid. Arsenal are in their first Champions League semi-final in 16 years. Everyone is excited after beating defending champions Real Madrid 5-1 on aggregate.

ARSENAL’S SEASON SO FAR

Arsenal are playing well in both domestic and European competitions. They haven’t lost in over two months. Knocking out 15-time champions Real Madrid was a big statement. This is only Arsenal’s third Champions League semi-final ever. Fans have been very supportive, especially during the quarter-final at the Emirates. Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus have been key players with important goals and assists.

WHAT’S NEXT FOR ARSENAL?

Arsenal will play PSG in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final. PSG are in good form too. They have just won the Ligue 1 title and reached the last four for the seventh time since 2015. Arsenal did beat PSG 2-0 in the group stage, but this knockout match will be a tough challenge. In the Premier League, Arsenal are in a tight title race. They are one point behind leaders Manchester City and two points ahead of Liverpool, with three games left. Their next Premier League match is very important for the title. The Champions League game against PSG could define Arteta’s time as Arsenal manager.
