Napoli Move Closer to Signing Noa Lang in Key Talks with PSV

Napoli are nearing an agreement to sign Dutch winger Noa Lang from PSV Eindhoven. The clubs will hold decisive talks to finalize the deal as Napoli look to strengthen before returning to the Champions League.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Napoli and PSV Eindhoven will negotiate this week to agree on Noa Lang’s transfer. Napoli have already received approval from Lang regarding the move. Both clubs are trying to bridge a small gap in their valuations. PSV want €30 million, while Napoli are offering €25 million plus bonuses.

Lang enjoyed a strong 2024/25 campaign, scoring 11 goals and providing 10 assists in 29 Eredivisie matches. He is under contract with PSV until 2028, having joined from Club Brugge in 2023. Napoli are also considering Bologna’s Dan Ndoye and Manchester United’s Jadon Sancho as other winger options. They have agreed personal terms with Ndoye, but no club talks have begun for Sancho. Jack Grealish is not on Napoli’s shortlist.

NAPOLI’S BUSY SUMMER AND FUTURE AMBITIONS

Napoli are having an active summer in the transfer market as they prepare to compete in Serie A and the Champions League in 2025/26. The arrivals of Kevin De Bruyne and Luca Marianucci have strengthened key areas. Napoli’s goal is to add at least two quality wide players to boost their attack.

Noa Lang’s performances for PSV have made him a top target. However, Bologna’s Dan Ndoye is still in consideration. Napoli’s transfer activty indicates their ambition to return to the top of Italian football after a challenging domestic campaign last season. Their aim is to prevent Serie A rivals from widening the gap and to be title contenders next season.

WHAT’S NEXT FOR NAPOLI?

Napoli are focusing on wrapping up a deal with PSV for Lang in the next 24 to 48 hours. If the move gets finalized, Lang will join a squad that will compete in both Serie A and the Champions League next season. Their next league game is scheduled for early August, where they will test their new signings against a last-season mid-table opponent. Napoli are still interested in Ndoye, but a move could be delayed due to Bologna’s interest in Jadon Sancho to replace him.
