PSG Power Past Inter Miami to Reach Club World Cup Quarter-Finals
Paris Saint-Germain dominated Inter Miami 4-0 in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, ending Miami’s historic run and reaching the quarter-finals.
According to a previous report, PSG advanced to the next round of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.
WHAT HAPPENED?
PSG started strong, scoring just six minutes in. João Neves headed in Vitinha’s free kick. Neves added a second in the 39th minute after Inter Miami gave the ball away. PSG extended their lead with an own goal, and Achraf Hakimi scored a fourth just before halftime.
Despite Miami’s efforts in the second half, they couldn’t create clear chances and never seriously threatened Donnarumma’s goal. PSG easily held on to their lead and advanced to the next round.
INTER MIAMI’S HISTORIC RUN ENDS
This was Inter Miami’s first FIFA Club World Cup appearance, marking a big step for both the club and Major League Soccer. They became the first MLS team to reach the Club World Cup knockout rounds.
According to a previous report, Inter Miami is the first US team to reach the Round of 16 in the FIFA Club World Cup.
They also made history as the first Concacaf team to beat a European side in an official competition, shocking FC Porto 2-1 in the previous round.
Messi’s free-kick helped Inter Miami defeat Porto in the Club World Cup.
Led by Lionel Messi, the team has improved significantly, going unbeaten in the group stage.

But against Champions League winners PSG, they were clear underdogs and ultimately fell short in the Round of 16.
