Yoan Bonny Set for Inter Milan Medical Ahead of €25m Move

Parma striker Ange-Yoan Bonny will arrive in Milan to undergo his medical with Inter in the next 24 hours. He is moving closer to a €25 million switch that could make him eligible to feature for them in the Club World Cup.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Inter Milan and Parma have reached a full agreement for the transfer of Bonny, a 21-year-old French striker who emerged as one of the top goalscorers in Serie A last season. Bonny will arrive in Milan tonight and undergo medical tests on Tuesday morning. The medicals themselves are a formality as the player had already passed similar tests with Parma recently. Once done, he will sign a five-year contract with Inter until June 2030, earning around €2 million per year. The transfer value will be around €23 million with €3 million in add-ons.

According to a previous report, Ange-Yoan Bonny impressed in Serie A last season, scoring six goals and assisting four in 37 league matches.

INTER’S SEASON SO FAR

Inter finished the 2024-25 Serie A season as runner-ups after an epic battle with Napoli, eventually losing the Scudetto by one point on the final day. They are set to face Fluminense in the Club World Cup Round of 16 in the United States. It is an important match for Inter, as victory could set a potentially epic clash against one of Manchester City or Al-Hilal. Bonny is unlikely to be involved in the Fluminense match, but he could be eligible to feature from the subsequent rounds if Inter advance further in the competition.

Inter Milan has made significant progress under head coach Cristian Chivu, who has restructured the team’s approach after the previous season’s second-place finish in Serie A.

WHAT’S NEXT FOR BONNY & INTER?

After his medical, Bonny will sign his contract and is expected to immediately join the group in the United States, potentially becoming part of their Club World Cup campaign. The Nerazzurri will look to bolster their squad as they prepare for an intense schedule domestically and internationally. Meanwhile, Parma, who narrowly escaped relegation last season, are set to lose one of their top performers even as they earn a significant transfer fee. Inter face Fluminense next and in the event that they win, Bonny may be eligible to feature in subsequent rounds even though that is subject to timely registration of all paperwork.

Parma is focusing on stability and progress in the 2025-26 season, aiming to improve their position in Serie A after a challenging previous year.
