AC Milan Closing In On Ardon Jashari As Club Record Deal Nears
AC Milan want to sign Club Brugge midfielder Ardon Jashari, with the player keen on the move too. Jashari wants to move to AC Milan and is not considering offers from other clubs.
A previous report confirmed that he is not interested in other offers.
WHAT HAPPENED?
According to Calciomercato, Milan have now opened talks with Club Brugge for the Swiss international. Milan have placed an opening bid of €27 million plus €5 million in bonuses for the 21-year-old. However, Club Brugge has reportedly rejected this bid, as they are holding out for a deal closer to €40 million for Jashari. They are willing to keep him at the club for another year if their demands are not met.
A previous report confirmed that Club Brugge is asking for at least €40 million for Jashari.
WHY DO MILAN WANT TO SIGN JASHARI?
Milan showed massive interest in Jashari during the January window too, but at that time, no move materialized and Club Brugge announced a contract extension for the player.
However, it is clear that Milan see Jashari as a potential long-term solution for their midfield. Milan’s midfield situation has been challenging recently, especially after they secured a deal with Manchester City for the sale of midfielder Tijjani Reijnders. The club finished eighth in Serie A in the 2024/25 season and has gotten Luka Modric after his deal expired with Real Madrid.
A previous report confirmed Milan’s focus on improving their midfield and their performance in Serie A.
WHAT HAPPENS IF MILAN FAIL TO SIGN JASHARI?
Milan have identified Atalanta’s Giorgio Scalvini as a backup option in case they fail to land Jashari. However, Scalvini also has offers from Inter and Tottenham, and it is believed that he may prefer to join Inter if he leaves Atalanta.
A previous report confirms interest in Scalvini and Milan’s transfer strategy.
