Antoine Semenyo Commits Future to Bournemouth with New Long-Term Deal

Antoine Semenyo has signed a new contract with Bournemouth, keeping him at the club until June 2030. This important move ensures that one of the Premier League’s most wanted forwards will remain at Vitality Stadium as the Cherries look to build on last season’s success.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Bournemouth officially announced on July 1 that Semenyo has agreed to a new long-term deal through the summer of 2030. The 25-year-old forward, who joined from Bristol City in 2023, was linked with transfers to top clubs such as Manchester United, Liverpool, and Tottenham after an impressive 2024-25 campaign. However, the Cherries moved quickly to secure Semenyo’s future amidst a summer of squad changes, with several key players departing already. Semenyo contributed 11 Premier League goals and five assists in 37 appearances last season, and has now decided to continue his development on the south coast.

According to a previous report, he signed a new deal until 2030.

SEASON OVERVIEW AND SEMENYO’S IMPACT

Bournemouth finished 12th in the Premier League last season, matching their highest-ever top-flight finish and achieving a club-record points tally. Semenyo was one of the standout performers, finishing as the team’s leading scorer and providing significant creative threat. His stats include 11 league goals, 5 assists, and 11 big chances created over 37 matches.

WHAT’S NEXT FOR BOURNEMOUTH AND SEMENYO?

Their Premier League campaign is set to kick off against Liverpool, who won last year’s edition. Semenyo, heading into his third season at the club, will be expected to lead the attack once again as Andoni Iraola seeks stability and further progress at Vitality Stadium.
