Krasnodar Secures Gaëtan Perrin From Auxerre for €4.5 Million

Russian club Krasnodar has agreed with French team Auxerre to sign Gaëtan Perrin. The transfer fee is €4.5 million.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Krasnodar and Auxerre have made a deal for the 29-year-old striker Perrin. His Auxerre contract ended recently, and he declined to extend it. Auxerre decided to sell him instead of losing him for nothing the following year. They accepted Krasnodar’s offer after rejecting a previous €3 million bid. Perrin scored 10 goals and had 10 assists last season in Ligue 1 games.

According to a previous report, AJ Auxerre finished strong last season, securing mid-table safety.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

Perrin has been an important player for Auxerre. His performances helped them finish mid-table in the 2024-25 season. Now, Auxerre faces a challenge in rebuilding their attack. They have already signed players like Francisco Sierralta and Josué Casimir. On the other hand, Krasnodar wants to strengthen their team to compete better in the Russian Premier League and Europe.

WHAT NEXT FOR PERRIN AND KRAZSNODAR?

Perrin is starting a new chapter in Russia with Krasnodar. He will try to adapt quickly and make an impact in the competitive Russian Premier League. Krasnodar aims to integrate him into their attack. They hope to improve their league ranking. For Auxerre, this transfer allows them to adjust their squad as they prepare for the upcoming Ligue 1 season.
