ARSENAL AND CHELSEA’S SEASON SO FAR
Arsenal finished last season as Premier League runners-up with 70 points, just behind Liverpool. The Gunners have been busy in the transfer market, aiming to have a better chance of winning the league next year. Chelsea ended the season in fourth place, guaranteeing Champions League qualification, and have already begun changing their squad. They signed new attackers and allowed Madueke to leave. Chelsea needed to comply with UEFA’s financial rules, which also influenced their decision to sell key players.
According to a previous report, Chelsea finished fourth in the Premier League last season.
WHAT’S NEXT FOR ARSENAL?
Madueke is expected to compete with and cover for Bukayo Saka. He also provides options on the left side of the attack. Arsenal’s next match is a pre-season friendly against Bayern Munich, giving fans their first chance to see Madueke in an Arsenal shirt. As the new season looms, Arsenal are trying to close the squad as soon as possible, and Gyokeres seems to be the piece of the puzzle that’s missing for finally some silverware for Mikel Arteta’s men. They hope new signings will help them bridge the gap at the top.
