Al Nassr Submit Bid for Kingsley Coman as Talks with Bayern Begin

Al Nassr have made their first official bid to sign French winger Kingsley Coman from Bayern Munich. Negotiations with both the German club and the player’s representatives are underway as the Saudi side look to add another star name to their squad. Reports indicate that Al Nassr have started talks to sign Coman.

WHAT HAPPENED?

On Friday, Al Nassr formally submitted a bid for Kingsley Coman, 29, offering Bayern a transfer fee of around €30 million. The Saudi club have proposed a contract until 2028 with a net annual salary of more than €20 million for Coman. Bayern Munich are considering the offer, but a deal is not yet finalized as all parties continue negotiations. Coman has one season left on his Bayern contract and is open to a move. The winger scored nine goals and provided six assists in 45 appearances for the German side last season.

BAYERN AND COMAN: SEASON SO FAR

Coman played an important role for Bayern last season, helping the team to another strong Bundesliga campaign. Despite several injury setbacks and increased competition for starting spots, he started many important games, including scoring in Bayern’s 4-0 preseason win over Tottenham. Bayern finished as winners in the Bundesliga, thirteen points behind runner-ups Bayer Leverkusen, and will aim for European success in the upcoming season. The German club now face uncertainty over Coman’s future as they seek to reshape their squad for the upcoming campaign. Notably, Coman is the club’s top target to strengthen Al Nassr’s team for the 2025-26 season.

WHAT’S NEXT FOR AL NASSR AND BAYERN?

Al Nassr are pushing hard to finalize the deal and make Coman their latest big-name signing. The club have already signed Iñigo Martinez and João Felix this window as they aim to challenge for the Saudi Pro League title. Al Nassr will start their league campaign next week against Al Ettifaq. Al Nassr finished third last season, well behind Al Ittihad. Bayern, meanwhile, will begin the German season with a Supercup tie against Stuttgart, aiming to close the gap at the top. Talks for Coman are expected to continue in the coming days with all sides looking for an agreement.
