Alexander Isak Rejects Saudi Move, Prioritises Liverpool as Newcastle Exit Talks Advance

Alexander Isak wants to stay at the top level in Europe. He turned down a big offer from Al Hilal as his future at Newcastle United is uncertain. Liverpool want him on their team, too, as reports indicate.

ISAK SAYS NO TO SAUDI SWITCH

Alexander Isak, Newcastle‘s Swedish striker, received an offer from Al Hilal for about £600,000 a week but decided against it. Isak wants to play at a high level in Europe, and his situation at Newcastle is not the best. He is looking to move and is currently not participating in their pre-season tour in Asia due to a minor thigh injury. He is waiting for further talks.

LIVERPOOL WAIT AS NEWCASTLE WEIGH OPTIONS

Liverpool are seriously considering Isak, having already secured the services of Hugo Ekitike this summer. They are in need of a significant attacking player after losing some important team members. Newcastle, on the other hand, value Isak at around £150 million, and while manager Eddie Howe is keen to keep him, he acknowledges that Isak’s future with the team is uncertain. Newcastle are worried about losing a crucial player, especially with Liverpool having already bid up to £120 million for him.

WHAT’S NEXT FOR ISAK, LIVERPOOL, AND NEWCASTLE?

Newcastle next play a pre-season match against Arsenal, but Isak’s absence from the tour casts a shadow over his future. They finished last season in fifth place, qualifying for the Champions League. Liverpool, however, will participate in the Champions League as they as league winners, ten points ahead of Arsenal. If everything works out, Isak could join Liverpool, who are planning to contend for the Premier League title. Newcastle must consider a replacement for his goals if he leaves, and with the season opener against West Ham just three weeks away, time is of the essence.
