Alvaro Morata Set for Como Move as Osimhen Nears Galatasaray Return

Alvaro Morata is set to return to Italy with Como once Galatasaray signs Victor Osimhen. Morata has agreed to join Como, but only after Galatasaray secures Osimhen as their new striker.

TRANSFER DEAL DEPENDS ON OSIMHEN

Morata was loaned to Galatasaray from AC Milan for the second half of last season. He netted five goals in 10 Turkish Super Lig games. Efforts are being made to end his current loan early, but Galatasaray insists on signing a new forward first. Victor Osimhen, who scored 37 goals for Galatasaray last season, is now nearing a permanent move back to the Turkish club. With Osimhen’s arrival, Galatasaray will allow Morata to return to Italy and finalize his two-year deal with Como.

COMO AIM TO BUILD ON LAST SEASON

Under Cesc Fabregas, Como finished 10th in Serie A last season. They aim to enhance their squad and climb higher up the table. Morata, who scored 15 goals in 31 Serie A games for Milan in 2024/25, is considered a major acquisition. Como has also shown interest in other Milan players and is actively working in the transfer market. Galatasaray won both the Turkish Super Lig and the Turkish Cup last season, marking a successful campaign that they hope to build upon with Osimhen bolstering their attack.

WHAT’S NEXT FOR THE CLUBS AND PLAYERS?

Morata’s switch to Como should be finalized shortly after Galatasaray officially signs Osimhen. Como’s opening match of the 2025/26 season is against Udinese, who ended two spots below them last year. Meanwhile, Milan will concentrate on locating a successor for Morata after his exit. Galatasaray will depend on Osimhen to contribute the necessary goals to surpass Fenerbahce, who finished second in the Turkish championship race. These transfers may significantly impact the aspirations of all three clubs as they embark on the new season.
