Ardon Jashari Moves Closer to AC Milan Amid Ongoing Transfer Talks
Ardon Jashari is not in Club Brugge’s squad for their next match as he works to complete a transfer to AC Milan. The midfielder is keen to move to the Serie A side, and the two clubs have held further talks today following a new offer, according to Fabrizio.news.
WHAT HAPPENED TO JASHARI?
Club Brugge midfielder Ardon Jashari has been left out of the squad and will not be involved in their next match amid widespread speculation about his future.
The 22-year-old has made it clear that he wants to move to San Siro and has rejected approaches from two Premier League teams this week after Milan made him a top priority. Reports confirm that Ardon Jashari wants to move to AC Milan and is not considering other offers.
Milan returned to the table with a new offer this week worth €35 million (£30m/$38m) plus €3m in add-ons, although Brugge want a fee of €40m (£34m/$43m). According to a previous report, Club Brugge holds out for a deal closer to €40 million for Ardon Jashari.
Talks between the clubs resumed on Thursday and new personal terms have been agreed between Jashari and Milan, with both parties optimistic a deal will be completed. Additionally, Ardon Jashari has agreed to terms with AC Milan.
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR MILAN?
The Serie A club has targeted a new midfielder this window after missing out on Jashari’s international teammate Xherdan Shaqiri. Milan are yet to make any major signings this summer but Modric’s arrival to the team after his contract expiry, as well as Estupinan from Brighton, promise to change that.
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR BRUGGE?
Brugge’s transfer stance has so far been one of the main sticking points in the negotiations, but they may now be open to selling Jashari.
Milan’s improved bid is reportedly worth more than any other offers they have received so far, while they are also confident they can make a small profit on a player they signed last year for €15m (£13m/$17m). Brugge will face a key decision over whether to sell Jashari at a lucrative price or if they will keep hold of him for the new campaign.
The midfielder has become a key figure at Jan Breydel Stadium and played a vital role in helping the team return to Champions League football last season after two years without it. However, his contract expires in 2026 and he will enter the final year of his deal in January.
Should Jashari run his deal down, Brugge could miss out on a bumper payday, but his form last season suggests he could have a big impact if they do decide to keep him at the club.
