Arnaut Danjuma Completes Permanent Transfer To Valencia

Valencia have signed Arnaut Danjuma from Villarreal. Both clubs have agreed on a permanent transfer just days before the La Liga season kicks off.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Valencia and Villarreal finalized the Danjuma deal on August 9, 2025. Quick negotiations and paperwork sealed the agreement. The 28-year-old forward, who is of Dutch-Nigerian descent, has accepted personal terms and will soon sign with Valencia. This transfer is permanent, not a loan. Villarreal will keep a share of any future sale. Danjuma, who spent time on loan at Tottenham, Everton, and Girona recently, is now set for a new challenge at Mestalla. He impressed fans with a fantastic pre-season goal against Arsenal, boosting the excitement before the season starts. Reports indicate that Danjuma is excited to join Valencia, and personal terms are not a problem.

DANJUMA’S IMPACT AND VALENCIA’S PREPARATIONS

Valencia have ambitious goals after a successful transfer window. They added Danjuma to their signings of Santamaría and Ugrinic, and renewed contracts for key players like Javi Guerra. Danjuma’s arrival gives coach Carlos Corberán more attacking options. Last season, Valencia finished 9th in La Liga with 51 points, five points short of European qualification. Danjuma scored 9 goals and provided 3 assists for Girona and Villarreal, often playing as a wide forward. His versatility is seen as a boost for an attack that lacked consistency last year. Valencia’s season begins with the Trofeu Taronja, followed by a home league opener against Real Sociedad, a team that finished just two points behind them last season.

WHAT NEXT FOR VALENCIA?

Danjuma is expected to play in the Trofeu Taronja at Mestalla, giving fans a first look at the new signing. Valencia hope Danjuma’s presence will help them push for a top-six spot and a return to Europe. As La Liga begins, every point counts. Valencia are aware of this, as the gap between rivals was narrow last season. Their next match against Real Sociedad will be an early test against a direct European contender. Danjuma’s immediate adaptation is key to a strong start.
