NØRGAARD JOINS ARTETA’S SQUAD

Nørgaard completed the formalities of his transfer to Arsenal from Brentford on Tuesday. The Dane has spent the last five seasons of his career at Brentford, where he has made 198 appearances, scoring three goals and providing 12 assists, and even captained the side. He had made it clear that he would not be extending his stay at the club beyond this summer. Nørgaard arrives at Arsenal with the chance to compete for silverware in the 2025-26 season after Brentford finished in the middle of the table in the Premier League and having lost head coach Thomas Frank to Tottenham, and potentially top striker Mbeumo to Manchester United. Mikel Arteta has been patiently planning his much-needed midfield revamp and had to wait until January to add Nørgaard to his squad.
