Arsenal Sign New Players as They Continue Transfer Talks

Arsenal has signed three new players, is negotiating for Cristhian Mosquera, and wants to sign more before the Premier League season begins.

MAJOR SIGNINGS CONFIRMED

Arsenal has signed three players. Martin Zubimendi has agreed to join the Gunners after the club agreed to pay €65m for the midfielder. As they would be releasing Thomas Partey, signing a new midfielder was a priority. Further midfield reinforcements came in the form of Christian Norgaard who was signed for £9.4m. They also activated a £5m release clause to sign Chelsea’s backup keeper Kepa Arrizabalaga.

According to a previous report we published, Thomas Partey will be released by the club on a free transfer.

TRANSFER SAGA: GYÖKERES AND ŠEŠKO STILL IN PLAY

Despite these signings, Arsenal is not done with their business in the market. They are eyeing a few more arrivals and have identified two options to bolster their attack: Viktor Gyökeres and Benjamin Šeško.

Both strikers continue to be linked with a move to Emirates Stadium though no deal is in sight for either yet. Arsenal would hope to sign at least one of them this window to bolster their frontline. The Gunners are also negotiating for Valencia defender Mosquera.

According to a previous report we published, Arsenal are preparing a bid in the €75-80m range for Gyökeres.

EYES ON THE SEASON AHEAD

Arsenal will be targeting the Premier League title next season after finishing as second behind Manchester City last time out. The board has backed manager Mikel Arteta in the transfer market and signing a quality striker in their team could give them the edge over Manchester City in the title race next season.
