AS Monaco Sign Danish Teenager Ekene Chukwuani After Record Season

AS Monaco have announced the signing of 16-year-old forward Ekene Russel Chukwuani. He is a highly rated Denmark U17 international and joins from Brøndby IF after an impressive goal-scoring season.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Monaco signed Chukwuani after his outstanding year at Brøndby’s U17 team, where he scored 28 goals in 25 matches. The club agreed to a three-year contract with the young forward and paid a transfer fee of around €2 million. Chukwuani, who has both Danish and Nigerian nationality, will initially join Monaco’s Groupe Élite youth squad to continue his development.
