Badredine Bouanani Set For Stuttgart Move In €20 Million Deal

Stuttgart and Nice have agreed on a deal for Badredine Bouanani. The Algerian player will sign a five-year contract. The Bundesliga team will pay a total of €20 million. All parties agree, and formal steps like the medical check will happen soon.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Bouanani broke into Nice‘s first team last season and experienced a big rise. He scored 5 goals and gave 3 assists in 37 matches, becoming a regular starter under coach Franck Haise.

His rapid development followed a strong preseason and other attackers leaving, making him important for Nice. Stuttgart pushed hard before the transfer window closed, finally agreeing to terms with Nice for €20 million. Bouanani is allowed to go to Germany for his medical check and is expected to sign a five-year deal.

WHY DOES IT MATTER?

This deal shows Stuttgart’s ambitions. Last season, they won the DFB Pokal, the German Cup, and finished mid-table in the Bundesliga narrowly missing out on European qualification. The team’s success came with a strong young squad but lacked attack strength after top scorer Serhou Guirassy and Nick Woltenmade left.

Bouanani’s signing fills this gap, adding a fast and creative winger who can also play as an attacking midfielder. For Nice, who finished fifth in Ligue 1 last season, losing Bouanani means they must rely more on veteran players and new signings to maintain their position.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

Bouanani will complete his medical and then sign with Stuttgart, likely joining training soon. Stuttgart’s next game is against SC Freiburg, who are a competitive opponent and aiming at European spots, making it an important early match in the Bundesliga. As of now, Stuttgart is eighth after two matches, with three points as they have one win and one loss so far.

Bouanani may not play immediately, but his speed and skills will give Stuttgart more options as they aim for another top-four finish and compete in the Champions League.
