Barcelona Target Inter Star Denzel Dumfries As €25m Release Clause Revealed

Inter Milan’s Denzel Dumfries has a €25 million release clause that is valid until mid-July. Barcelona have shown interest in him, raising the possibility of a major transfer for the full-back.

Barcelona have become interested in Dumfries in recent months, following the revelation of the release clause in his contract. While Barcelona have not made any offers yet, their interest is clear. The potential signing of Dumfries would be a big blow for Inter, who may lose one of their star players to Hansi Flick’s team. Dumfries helped Inter reach the final of the Champions League last year and scored seven goals, with seven assists in all competitions.

The €25 million clause expires in a few weeks, during which Dumfries’ suitors, including Barca, must make a firm decision. If Inter lose their star defender, they may promote Luis Henrique, who has shown great potential. As a last resort, Inter could go for Bordeaux’s Dorian Marie or Real Madrid’s Ivan Fresneda. Dumfries surprisingly has a similar release clause to current Real Madrid right-back Josip Juranovic, another potential target.
