Boubacar Kamara Signs New Five-Year Contract with Aston Villa

Boubacar Kamara has signed a new contract with Aston Villa. The French midfielder will stay with the club until June 2030 and will receive a higher salary.

KAMARA COMMITS FUTURE TO VILLA

Aston Villa have confirmed that Boubacar Kamara will stay at the club for another five years. The new deal comes after months of negotiations and provides a boost for Villa ahead of the 2025/26 Premier League season. Kamara joined Villa from Marseille in 2022 and is now tied to Villa Park until 2030. He is one of the club’s highest earners. Kamara shared a post with teammate Amadou Onana as the team travelled to the United States for preseason preparations.

KAMARA’S IMPACT AND TEAM’S RECENT PERFORMANCE

Since joining Aston Villa, Kamara has become a key player in Unai Emery’s midfield. He provides strong defensive performances. Last season, Kamara played in 36 Premier League matches and scored one goal with three assists. Villa finished in sixth place, earning a Europa League spot for 2025/26, after narrowly missing out on a Champions League position due to a controversial refereeing decision in a key match against Manchester United. Kamara is seen as important for Villa as they aim to climb further up the table this year.

LOOKING AHEAD: NEXT STEPS FOR VILLA AND KAMARA

With Kamara’s new contract, Aston Villa will focus on integrating new signings and preparing for their Europa League campaign. Their Premier League opener is against Newcastle, who finished just above them in 5th in the last Champions League spot. The club aims to break into the top four, and keeping Kamara is a step in that direction. Fans will be watching closely to see how Emery’s team builds on last season’s progress. Notably, Villa’s commitment to bolstering their squad is reflected in their recent acquisition of new talent, including Zepiqueno Redmond, who has signed a contract until June 2029.
