Brentford Stun Manchester United With Convincing 3-1 Home Win

Brentford celebrated a big win over Manchester United at the Gtech Community Stadium. United have now lost three of their six Premier League games this season, and currently occupy 13th position in the league.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Brentford started strong with two quick goals from Igor Thiago in the first 20 minutes. United responded through Benjamin Sesko’s strike in the 26th minute, but the visitors could not find an equalizer. Bruno Fernandes’ 76th-minute penalty was saved by Brentford shot-stopper Caoimhin Kelleher before Mathias Jensen scored in the 88th minute to seal the tie for the Bees. The win moved the hosts up to eighth with seven points as United dropped to 13th with the same points tally.

UNITED’S TROUBLES CONTINUE

United and Ruben Amorim’s struggles continued as they fell in the bottom half of the table after starting the season as one of the title favorites. Amorim has now suffered 17 defeats in 33 matches as United’s boss, and the pressure on the Portuguese is mounting. Reports indicate that United won a crucial match against Chelsea recently, but inconsistencies have plagued their season.

WHAT NEXT FOR MANCHESTER UNITED?

United will face Sunderland in their next match on next weekend at Old Trafford. Currently, they are looking to recover from their drop to 13th place in the league as they prepare for this upcoming fixture.
