He will join the team after a short break before pre-season starts. Chelsea have not yet confirmed his shirt number.

STRENGTHENING CHELSEA’S ATTACK

With his speed and dribbling skills, he is considered one of Europe’s most exciting wide players.

LOOKING AHEAD TO NEXT SEASON

Chelsea finished fourth in the Premier League last season but want to finish higher and do well in the Champions League. Their next competitive match is the Club World Cup semi-final after beating Palmeiras. New manager Enzo Maresca hopes Bynoe-Gittens and fellow new signings Liam Delap and Joao Pedro can help close the gap to city rivals City, who finished seven points ahead last season.

The winger is expected to join full training in time for Chelsea’s pre-season tour, looking to convince Maresca that he deserves a place in the starting lineup.
