Chelsea Set to Finalize João Pedro and Jamie Bynoe-Gittens Signings
Chelsea are close to signing João Pedro from Brighton and Jamie Bynoe-Gittens from Borussia Dortmund. The documents are set to be completed on Monday. This is a big part of the club’s rebuild under new manager Enzo Maresca. More new players are expected before the season begins.
WHAT HAPPENED?
Jamie Bynoe-Gittens has already started his medical examination ahead of a £55 million move from Borussia Dortmund. The young English winger will also sign a contract with Chelsea until June 2032. He is also expected to join Chelsea soon. Both new players will boost Chelsea’s attacking options, joining new signing Liam Delap.
According to a previous report, Brighton are holding out for a fee closer to £60 million for João Pedro even though it is said that the agreed fee for the player is closer to 50 million. Additionally, a previous report confirmed that Jamie Bynoe-Gittens will sign a contract with Chelsea until June 2032.

Chelsea finished fourth in the Premier League last season. They qualified for the Champions League and won the Conference League against Betis. The club needs to score more goals, having managed only 67 in the league last season. João Pedro scored 16 goals and had four assists for Brighton last season, while Bynoe-Gittens scored 12 goals and provided seven assists for Dortmund in the Bundesliga and Europe. These new additions could mean Christopher Nkunku will be allowed to leave the club.

João Pedro is expected to be included, but Bynoe-Gittens is cup-tied due to playing for Dortmund earlier in the competition. Chelsea’s transfer rivals are also busy, with Manchester United working on a deal for Bryan Mbeumo of Brentford. Chelsea remain interested in Sporting’s Viktor Gyökeres as they continue their transfer activity.
