Corrie Ndaba Completes Lecce Switch After Kilmarnock Exit

Corrie Ndaba has left Kilmarnock and joined Italian Serie A team Lecce. He signed a three-year deal that could be extended.

DETAILS OF THE TRANSFER

Lecce has signed Corrie Ndaba, a 25-year-old defender, from Kilmarnock. They finished the transfer today with all documents done. Ndaba’s contract is for three years, with an option to extend by two more years. After passing a medical check-up in Italy, he will go to the team’s pre-season training camp in Bressanone. Kilmarnock sold him for an unknown fee after he had a great 2024-25 season in Scottish football.

NDABA’S IMPACT AT KILMARNOCK

Ndaba was an important player for Kilmarnock last season. He played in 38 games and scored one goal while assisting another. He played left-back. Kilmarnock came 8th in the Scottish Premiership, and Ndaba’s steady defense caught attention from teams outside Scotland. Ndaba used to play for Ipswich Town and various teams on loan in England and Scotland. He also played internationally for Republic of Ireland’s Under-18s. At Lecce, he will begin as a backup to Antonino Gallo but is flexible to play other defensive positions.

LECCE’S AMBITIONS FOR THE NEW SEASON

Lecce ended 15th in Serie A last season, staying safe from relegation by just four points. They wanted to improve their defense and be higher in the league for the 2025-26 season. Their first game of the new season is against Hellas Verona, who finished 14th last season. Both teams want a strong start to stay away from the bottom of the table. People will see how quickly Ndaba adjusts to Italian football and what role he plays to help Lecce progress in the league. Furthermore, Lecce have added Tuur Rommens to their list of summer transfer targets, indicating their ambition to strengthen the squad this season.
