Croatia Star Ivan Perisic Signs New PSV Eindhoven Contract

Croatian star Ivan Perisic has signed extended his contract with PSV Eindhoven. Perisic has put pen to paper on a two-year extension agreement with the Dutch side to stay in Eindhoven until June 2027. After his sensational form during the 2024-25 season, Perisic was wanted by several clubs but he has decided to stay at PSV Eindhoven.

WHAT HAPPENED?

The Croatian winger joined the club as a free agent in September as he signed a one-year deal with an option to extend by another season. He transformed the team with his solid performances which saw them edge out Feyenoord in the title race and qualify for next season’s Champions League.

WHAT PERISIC SAID

On his contract extension, the Croatian star told the club’s media, “Of course I am very happy to remain at PSV for longer. I feel brilliant here, in Eindhoven. We are qualified for the Champions League, which is the most important club competition. I can’t wait and look very much forward to the start of the new season. I aim to recapture the form of last year. If I manage to repeat that, it will be a fantastic season for all of us. The success of the team is above all.”

THE BIGGER PICTURE

Perisic, who is in the twilight of his career, not only helped PSV win the league title but also led Croatia to many successes along the years and seems to keep playing at the highest level for as long as possible.

WHAT NEXT FOR PSV EINDHOVEN?

PSV will be in action this weekend in the Johan Cruyff Shield final where they will face Feyenoord.
