Brazilian star Estevão Willian will join Chelsea after the FIFA Club World Cup, his agent confirmed. He is ready to make an impact in England, despite interest from PSG and Bayern Munich.

TRANSFER CONFIRMED AFTER WORLD CUP

Estevão, one of Brazil’s top young wingers, will join Chelsea this summer after the Club World Cup with Palmeiras. Chelsea signed him in June 2024 for €34 million, with bonuses making it €67 million. He can move when he turns 18 on April 24 and will officially join Chelsea in July. Estevão is excited about the new step in his career.

WHY CHELSEA WON THE RACE

Estevão chose London despite interest from PSG and Bayern Munich. His agent called him a “world-class player” and said he will “make history at Chelsea.” He has scored five goals in 13 games for Palmeiras this season and was the third-top scorer in the Brazilian Serie A last year with 13 goals. Estevão has also played four times for Brazil since debuting in September, showing he’s ready for European football.

CHELSEA’S NEXT STEPS AND UPCOMING FIXTURES

Chelsea hope Estevão will boost their attack. They have struggled in the Premier League and are fighting for European qualification, hoping to return to Champions League football next season, if they finish inside the top-5. They next play Everton who are mid-table and without much to play for until the end of the season. Estevão’s arrival is expected to bring energy and skill to the squad for the 2025/26 season, as Chelsea aim to return to being a top team domestically and in their CL return.
