FA Cup semi-final draw confirmed

🚨🏆 OFFICIAL: FA Cup semi finals.
Nottingham Forest 🆚 Manchester City. Crystal Palace 🆚 Aston Villa.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Nottingham Forest will face Manchester City while Crystal Palace take on Aston Villa in next month’s FA Cup semi-final fixtures. The draw was conducted after the completion of the quarter-final matches, with the four Premier League teams securing their places at Wembley.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

The semi-final matches are set to take place at Wembley Stadium on the weekend of April 26 and 27, 2025. Nottingham Forest, who reached the semi-finals after a penalty shootout victory over Brighton, will face Manchester City, who secured their spot with a 2-1 win against Bournemouth. Crystal Palace, who impressed with a 3-0 victory over Fulham, will meet Aston Villa, who defeated Preston North End 3-0 in their quarter-final match and the only non-Premier League team to take part in the quarter-finals after a remarkable campaign.

Marcus Rashford scored a goal for Aston Villa, and the English international will try to keep the momentum for the tail-end of the season.

WHAT’S NEXT?

As the teams prepare for their semi-final clashes, they also have important Premier League fixtures ahead. Nottingham Forest, currently performing well in the league, will host Brighton at the City Ground. Aston Villa, also having a strong season, will face Arsenal in a crucial match. These league games will be important for the teams to maintain their form and momentum heading into the FA Cup semi-finals.

All matches will take place during the week, so we will have plenty of action between Tuesday and Thursday in the Premier League.

The winners of these semi-final matches will advance to the FA Cup final, scheduled for Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Wembley Stadium. This presents an opportunity for these clubs to add to their trophy cabinets, with Crystal Palace and Bournemouth (if they had advanced) seeking their first FA Cup title, while Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest aim to end long droughts since their last cup victories in 1957 and 1959, respectively.
