Franco Mastantuono: “I Am Adapting, I’ve More to Give to Real Madrid”

Franco Mastantuono has talked about his start at Real Madrid. He’s telling fans he has more to show and he admires Jude Bellingham’s impact at the club.

FIRST WORDS FROM MASTANTUONO

The young Argentine midfielder joined Real Madrid this summer for €45 million and is quickly becoming a key player. Mastantuono recently said he is still getting used to life in Spain and playing for one of the world’s biggest clubs, but he believes his best is still ahead. In his own words, “I am adapting, I’ve more to give to Real Madrid.” He also praised Jude Bellingham, saying, “Jude Bellingham caught my attention the most. He has a presence and a level of authority I’ve never seen before.”

MIDFIELD TALENT BOOST FOR MADRID

Mastantuono joined Real Madrid after turning 18 in August and made an immediate impact, making his debut in a 1–0 win over Osasuna. Just days later, he became the youngest starter for Real Madrid in the Champions League, and he scored his first goal for the club on September 23 in the 4–1 win at Levante. His arrival gives Real Madrid even more young talent in midfield, with Bellingham, Arda Güler, and Brahim Díaz all playing important roles. During this fast development, Mastantuono made his second appearance for Argentina after earning his first senior call-up this June. Moreover, he has been praised by former Real Madrid player Xabi Alonso, who noted that Mastantuono is ‘our present and future’ in the squad as per a recent report.

WHAT’S NEXT FOR MASTANTUONO AND REAL MADRID?

Real Madrid currently sit at the top of La Liga, two points clear of second-placed Barcelona after six matches. The team is in strong form, having also won their opening Champions League fixture. They have made a perfect start to the 2025-26 league season, winning all five of their matches according to reports. Mastantuono’s growing minutes point to a larger role in the weeks ahead, especially with the club looking to rotate during a busy schedule. Real Madrid will face Atletico de madrid next, who are seventh in the league and picking up pace after finishing 3rd last season. All eyes will be on whether Mastantuono starts again and if he can continue to build on his bright early form.
