Fulham Want Brazilian Star Kevin, But Shakhtar Want Higher Price

Fulham are still trying to sign 22-year-old winger Kevin from Shakhtar Donetsk. But the talks have stopped because the Ukrainian club wants more money.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Fulham have agreed on a deal with Kevin. He has done well since joining Shakhtar from Palmeiras in January 2024. Fulham offered around £37 million for the winger, but Shakhtar Donetsk want at least £43 million (€50 million). Talks have stopped for now, but they are expected to start again in the next few days and maybe next week.

WHY KEVIN IS IMPORTANT FOR FULHAM?

The Brazilian winger is one of the best young talents in Europe. He has scored 16 goals and has 10 assists in 55 games for Shakhtar Donetsk. Fulham want him to make their attack stronger for the new Premier League season. Last season, they finished 11th in the Premier League with 54 points, 21 behind the last European spot, belonging to Nottingham Forest. The new season is starting soon, and the club wants to quickly improve the team and not be near the bottom of the table.

WHAT IS NEXT FOR FULHAM AND SHAKHTAR?

Fulham’s next Premier League match is against Brighton. Brighton finished 8th last season. Shakhtar Donetsk are first in the Ukrainian Premier League after three matches this season. The result of these transfer talks will affect Fulham’s attacking ability this season. If Shakhtar lower their demands or Fulham raise their offer, Kevin could become Fulham’s most expensive signing ever.
