Inter Await Formal Offer as Calhanoglu Future Remains Uncertain

Inter Milan president has confirmed that, despite rumors linking Hakan Çalhanoğlu to top Turkish clubs Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe, no official bid has been received. The star midfielder is expected to return for pre-season, with his future yet to be decided.

NO OFFERS YET DESPITE INTEREST

Inter Milan face an uncertain situation regarding Hakan Çalhanoğlu, as both Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe have shown strong interest in bringing him back to Turkey. Inter have set a minimum asking price of €25-30 million, but neither of the Turkish giants has made a formal offer so far. Çalhanoğlu remains under contract until June 2027, according to a previous update, and is set to rejoin his teammates for medical tests and pre-season training this week. Internal sources stress that the player has not requested to leave, while Inter remain open to negotiations if their financial terms are met.

ÇALHANOĞLU’S IMPACT AT INTER

Çalhanoğlu joined Inter from local rivals AC Milan in 2021 and has since become one of the team’s most important players. Over 182 appearances, he has scored 38 goals and provided 32 assists, helping Inter to win a Serie A title, a Coppa Italia, and three Supercoppa Italiana trophies. Last season, Çalhanoğlu played a key role as Inter finished second in Serie A, just behind Napoli, and he scored nine goals while providing seven assists in the league. His consistent performances have made him a fan favorite and a crucial part of the squad.

WHAT’S NEXT FOR INTER AND ÇALHANOĞLU?

Inter will begin the 2025-26 season with Çalhanoğlu in their plans unless a suitable offer arrives from Turkey in the coming days. If negotiations progress and Fenerbahçe or Galatasaray match Inter’s valuation, a transfer could move quickly. Otherwise, the midfielder will focus on helping Inter defend their Serie A crown, with their opening match against Bologna approaching soon. Inter sit at the top, and maintaining their strong midfield will be key to staying ahead in a competitive league. Meanwhile, Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray are both pushing to strengthen their own title challenges in Turkey, and a player of Çalhanoğlu’s caliber could prove decisive if a deal happens before the window closes.
