Inter Milan Announce Official Signing of Petar Sucić from Dinamo Zagreb
Inter Milan have confirmed the signing of Petar Sucić from Dinamo Zagreb. The deal, agreed earlier this year, is worth €14 million. There are also €2.5 million in add-ons and a sell-on clause for Dinamo Zagreb.
WHAT HAPPENED?
The 21-year-old midfielder arrives from Dinamo Zagreb, where he showcased versatility and talent in central midfield. Sucić finished the season with three goals and one assist in his last four matches. While Dinamo did not win the domestic title, Sucić’s personal success led to the transfer. The Croatian player was eager to join Inter, expressing excitement for the new challenge.
INTER’S RECENT FORM AND SQUAD PLANS
Inter ended the 2024-25 Serie A season on a high by securing the league title. Sucić’s addition strengthens an already strong squad as Inter gear up for a summer that includes the Club World Cup. The midfielder has reportedly signed a five-year contract and will join his new teammates for preseason. Inter are also reportedly pursuing Mexican full-back Julian Araujo from LA Galaxy.
WHAT’S NEXT FOR INTER AND SUCIĆ?
Sucić is expected to be an important member of Inter’s squad for the Club World Cup, as he could make his debut in the prestigious tournament. He will be part of a strong midfield that already features the likes of Nicolo Barella, Marcelo Brozovic, and Stefano Sensi. The Italian giants also remain linked with a move Steven Bergwijn who has starred for Championship side Swansea City this season.
