Inzaghi Set For Record-Breaking Saudi Move As Al Hilal Coach

Simone Inzaghi is about to become the world’s highest-paid football manager. He’s joining Al Hilal with a three-year contract worth €26 million per season.

WHAT HAPPENED?

The Italian coach has decided to leave Inter Milan and lead Al Hilal until June 2027. After meetings with Inter’s management, Inzaghi chose to end his successful four-year spell with the club. The 48-year-old is expected to sign with the Saudi team this week, making it one of the biggest managerial moves recently.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

Inzaghi’s time at Inter Milan was full of success, both in Italy and in Europe. In his four seasons, he won one Serie A title, two Coppa Italia trophies, and three Italian Super Cups. He took Inter to two UEFA Champions League finals in a row, though they lost their last one to Paris Saint-Germain.

Inter Milan finished second in Serie A this season, with Antonio Conte’s Napoli winning the title. Even though he didn’t win any trophies this year, Inzaghi made Inter a competitive team with a unique style and European presence.

WHAT’S NEXT FOR AL HILAL?

Inzaghi’s appointment shows Al Hilal’s aim to succeed both in Saudi Arabia and internationally. The club is focusing on international competition, squad growth, and long-term dominance in the Saudi Pro League and Asian football.

With Inzaghi’s leadership, Al Hilal hopes his knowledge and experience will take them to new levels. The club has already spent big in transfers, even though they failed to sign AC Milan’s Theo Hernandez despite their financial offers.

WHAT’S NEXT FOR INTER MILAN?

Inter Milan now needs a new manager to continue their success in Europe. Reports say the club plans to invest in young players and their development.

With time left in the summer transfer window, Inter will look for a manager to build on Inzaghi’s work and keep them competitive in Italy and Europe.
