Jacobo Ramón Completes Transfer From Real Madrid To Como

Defender Jacobo Ramón has left Real Madrid to join Serie A team Como for €2.5 million. Real Madrid has kept the option to buy him back in the future according to reports.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Jacobo Ramón, a 20-year-old center-back, has signed with Como after being with Real Madrid for 12 years. Como will pay €2.5 million for the transfer, and Real Madrid will keep 50% of any future sale. Real Madrid can also buy Ramón back during the next three summer transfer windows as confirmed in the deal. This deal is similar to the one for Nico Paz, who transferred to Como last season. Ramón made his first team debut for Real Madrid in 2025 and scored a notable goal against Osasuna at the end of the season.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

Ramón has spent most of his career developing at La Fábrica, which is recognized as one of the best youth academies in world football. He played for Castilla, Real Madrid’s reserve team, last season but also made some first-team appearances. Real Madrid is trying to raise funds this summer by selling young talents with buy-back options, hoping they will develop in competitive environments as reported. Como, who finished 10th in Serie A last season, want to strengthen their squad with promising youth, and coach Cesc Fabregas believes in Ramón’s potential.

WHAT’S NEXT FOR COMO AND REAL MADRID?

Ramón is expected to play a key role for Como as they try to improve their standings in the new Serie A season and qualify for European football. They will start their campaign against Lazio, who were the first team to fail to qualify for European football last season. Como finished last season right in the middle of the table, and this year all indicates that the goal is to qualify for European competitions, and new signings like Ramón will be important for their stability in their efforts to strengthen the squad. Meanwhile, Real Madrid is focused on their La Liga and Champions League preparations but has kept their options open by selling Ramón with buy-back clauses in case he performs well in Italy.
