Jadon Sancho Rejects Roma Offer as Manchester United Push for Quick Solution

Jadon Sancho has turned down a move to AS Roma. Manchester United want the winger to decide soon as the transfer window is closing. Sancho is now considering new offers as he feels the heat from his current club.

SANCHO SAYS NO TO ROMA

Jadon Sancho rejected Roma’s offer after they couldn’t agree on personal terms. AS Roma have officially bid to sign Jadon Sancho from Manchester United for £20 million, but negotiations have stalled as he has not accepted Roma’s offer yet according to reports. Manchester United, who have kept Sancho out of the first team under coach Ruben Amorim, had approved the move. But Sancho wanted to consider his options. With Roma now looking for other targets, he is also examining offers from Juventus and Besiktas, though neither club has yet reached an agreement with United.

SANCHO, UNITED, AND THE TRANSFER DEADLINE

Manchester United’s situation is tricky. The club want a quick solution as Sancho has not played since August 2023 and has one year left on his contract. Reports indicate that Sancho is in negotiations with AS Roma regarding his loan transfer as more discussions occur. He spent the last 18 months on loan at Borussia Dortmund and Chelsea but neither club wanted him permanently. The club have also put Antony, Alejandro Garnacho, and Tyrell Malacia on the market, all training separately. United finished fifteenth last season and won’t play in the Champions League. The new season starts with uncertainty as United faced Arsenal, who finished above them last year, in their opening match and lost the match 1-0.

WHAT’S NEXT? THE CLOCK IS TICKING

The transfer window is closing soon. United want Sancho and his representatives to find a new club quickly. Juventus and Besiktas are his main options at the moment. Sancho is reportedly willing to take a pay cut to move to Juventus, although no formal bid has yet been made according to sources. United want to take his salary off their wages and use the fee to sign new players. Sancho must decide fast if he wants regular game time this season. United’s next game against Fulham is likely to take place without him unless he leaves the club before then. Juventus, meanwhile, finished fourth in the league last season and need reinforcements as they prepare to challenge for the title in the new season. All the parties want a quick resolution.
