Jayden Addai Joins Como in €14 Million Move from AZ Alkmaar

Jayden Addai, a young Dutch winger, has signed a long-term contract with Como 1907. He is moving from AZ Alkmaar for a reported €14 million fee. The 19-year-old will stay with the Italian club until June 2030. This marks a big step in his career.

A previous report confirmed that Como FC and AZ Alkmaar agreed on a €14 million transfer fee for Jayden Addai.

WHAT HAPPENED

Como signed Jayden Addai after competing with other clubs, including Celtic. Addai made his Eredivisie debut last season and stood out with 15 goals for Jong AZ in the Dutch second division. He also played a key role in AZ’s UEFA Youth League win, scoring four times. Addai finished his medical tests and signed a contract with Como for five years. Como’s head coach, Cesc Fàbregas, praised Addai’s skill and said Como is a great place for him to grow.

A previous report confirmed that Jayden Addai passed his medical tests before joining Como.

WHAT IT MEANS FOR COMO

This signing shows Como’s goal to strengthen their team. Last season, Como finished 10th in Serie A, and will aim to fight for European spots this season. The team struggled in attack, scoring only 37 league goals. Addai is seen as a key piece to improve their scoring options. He joins recent arrivals like Martin Baturina and Jesus Rodriguez. With his youth, speed, and attacking style, Addai could become a regular in Fàbregas’ lineup and help Como rise up the table.

A previous report indicated that Como FC aims to qualify for Europe.

WHAT’S NEXT FOR ADDAI AND COMO

Addai will join his new teammates in preseason as Como prepare for their Serie A opener against Udinese. The club hopes Addai’s arrival brings fresh energy to their attack. All eyes will be on Addai as he adjusts to Italian football and shows why Como invested in his potential.

A previous report highlighted that Como FC was newly promoted to Serie A and eager to strengthen their attack ahead of the 2025-26 season.
