Juventus Confident Dušan Vlahović Will Stay for Season Ahead

Juventus director Comolli says there is a 99% chance Dušan Vlahović will stay at the club this season. This gives clear answers to fans as the new Serie A season begins.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Director Comolli told the press that Juventus expects Dušan Vlahović to stay with the team for the entire 2025/26 season. The club received no big transfer offers for the striker over the summer, even though they checked for possible moves. Vlahović is in the final year of his contract, reportedly earning €12m, making him the top earner in Serie A. Juventus considered several options, including a sale, to cut their wage bill but a lack of interest means Vlahović is now staying in Turin. However, a possibility remains that Vlahović could still leave before the transfer window closes.

IMPACT ON JUVENTUS AND TEAM PERFORMANCE

Juventus finished fourth in the 2024/25 Serie A standings, qualifying for the Champions League. Last season, Vlahović scored 16 league goals and made 4 assists in 31 appearances, significantly contributing to the team’s performance. Competition for forward spots is fierce this season after new signings, notably Jonathan David. Coach Igor Tudor will need to carefully balance team selection, with Vlahović possibly facing competition for starting minutes.

LOOKING AHEAD: FIXTURES AND FUTURE CHALLENGES

Juventus started their Serie A campaign against Parma with a 2-0 win, and will be visiting Genoa next hoping for another win against a team that finished 12th last season and narrowly escaped relegation. With intense pressure from fans and management alike, results in the opening weeks will be crucial. Juventus currently sits 3rd in Serie A, only on goal difference. The coming months will reveal if Vlahović finds his consistency or if tactical changes see him play a smaller role in his final year.
