Juventus Open to Selling Dusan Vlahović if Right Offer Arrives

Juventus are ready to sell Serbian striker Dusan Vlahović this summer, but only if they get a good enough offer. That’s according to the club’s general manager. So far, no club has met their asking price.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Juventus general manager Damien Comolli confirmed publicly that the club and Vlahović have agreed he can leave if a suitable bid comes in. Right now, Juventus have not received an offer that is good enough.

Vlahović joined Juventus in January 2022 and is currently one of the highest earners in Serie A. However, he has struggled to score as many goals this season and has lost his place in the team, especially after the arrival of Randal Kolo Muani on loan. Juventus face a race against time to complete the signing of Randal Kolo Muani due to interest from multiple Premier League clubs.

With his contract expiring next summer, Juventus want to cash in now rather than lose him for free in 2026.

TRANSFER IMPASSE AND KEY INTEREST

AC Milan are keen on signing Vlahović and manager Max Allegri wants to sign him. But Milan are only willing to pay €10–12 million and offer Vlahović half his current €12 million annual salary, the highest in Italian football.

Though he was initially reluctant to reduce his wages, Vlahović may now be willing to lower his demands, bringing him closer to an agreement with Milan. Premier League side Arsenal—and potentially Manchester United, Tottenham, and Newcastle—are keeping tabs on developments.

Juventus are open to offers of around €30 million, highlighting their desperation to resolve the situation before the window closes. That is significantly lower than Vlahović’s reported market value.

WHAT NEXT FOR JUVENTUS AND VLAHOVIĆ?

Juventus will continue to look for buyers for the 25-year-old and want to reach a conclusion before the summer transfer window closes. Juventus will play Parma for the Serie A opener next month.

A report in Calciomercato claims that if there is no suitable offer for the striker—keeping Vlahović’s salary and talents in mind—he will be expected to stay. Juventus also have the option of triggering a one-year extension in his contract, meaning they need not be in a hurry to sell him if no suitable offer arrives from prospective suitors.
