Juventus Push to Secure Randal Kolo Muani Deal Amid Premier League Interest

Juventus are in talks to sign Randal Kolo Muani for next season from Paris Saint-Germain, despite strong interest from big Premier League clubs.

WHAT HAPPENED?

The Italian giants, led by manager Igor Tudor, have Randal Kolo Muani as their main transfer target after his successful loan spell last season. The French forward joined Juventus from Paris Saint-Germain on loan in January 2025 and found renewed form in Turin, providing 10 goal contributions in 22 games across all competitions. Juventus are in daily talks with PSG to secure either a permanent transfer or a loan with an obligation to buy, revolving around appearances and goals. PSG are demanding a transfer fee in the region of €45-50m, as Juve race to complete the deal before rivals like Manchester United make their move. Other Premier League clubs, including Chelsea and Newcastle, remain interested too, especially after Manchester United created squad space with Marcus Rashford’s loan to Barcelona.

WHY DOES THIS MATTER FOR JUVENTUS?

Kolo Muani’s arrival in the January window was a major boost for Juventus as his goals and assists helped the team finish fourth in Serie A and qualify for the Champions League this season. Juve finished the last edition just edging past 5th placed Roma, the 1st team to not qualify for the Champions League this season. The French forward’s energy and direct play was key to improving the team’s attack, which often struggled for consistency early in the season. Igor Tudor is keen to have Kolo Muani available for pre-season training to build stronger tactics and chemistry, reflecting the club’s emphasis on continuity after a period of rebuilding last year.

WHAT LIES AHEAD?

With multiple Premier League clubs keeping tabs and PSG standing firm on their asking price, Juventus face a race against time to get the deal done. The player’s desire to stay in Turin gives Juve a vital edge. Juventus begin their new Serie A campaign in two weeks against Parma, who finished mid-table last season. Having finished well behind champions Napoli in May, Juve are hoping to close the gap this year, and making Kolo Muani’s signing permanent will be key to it.
